It’s been another busy month for the team, with two publications, a new collaboration and more success for our evaluation handbook.
The Government Outcomes Catalogue Tool is a rich repository of New Zealand government social sector priorities and measures which can be searched using domains and sub-domains based on the OECD Better Life framework. The Catalogue is updated regularly and is a co-production between Superu and The Treasury. The latest version has just been made public and includes over 900 entries.
New on the website this month is Evaluation terms for the social sector. Based on the jargon-busting list published in the evaluation handbook, this is a comprehensive glossary of evaluation language and methods, which we expect will become a ready-reference for those working in the field.
And, speaking of our handbook, there's been more praise for Making sense of evaluation which has been short-listed in two categories in the Plain English Awards – Best Plain English document Public Sector, and the People’s Choice award. Finalists are announced later this month, and we’ll be keeping our flippers crossed!
CommunityNet is a resource hub that hosts information designed to support learning and collaboration for the community and voluntary sector. We were delighted to add our materials on evaluation planning, using administrative data and the evidence cycle to their website: https://community.net.nz/
Check out the Using evidence for impact website for more information, resources and tools on using evidence and evaluation in your work.
